1. About Fendri

Fendri is a software platform that helps customs house agents, freight forwarders, and traders manage customs declarations and trade compliance. We integrate with government customs systems including HMRC Customs Declaration Service (CDS) to enable electronic filing of declarations.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Fendri, you agree to these terms. If you are using Fendri on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

3. Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate business information, including valid EORI numbers, IEC codes, and other regulatory identifiers required for customs filing.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Customs Declarations

Fendri submits customs declarations to government systems on your behalf based on the data you provide. You acknowledge that:

  • You are legally responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all declaration data.
  • Fendri acts as a software intermediary — we do not provide customs brokerage, legal, or tax advice.
  • AI-generated HS code suggestions are advisory. You must verify classifications before submission.
  • Once a declaration is submitted to a government system, it is subject to that system's rules and cannot always be reversed through Fendri.

5. Third-Party System Authorization

When you connect Fendri to government systems (e.g., HMRC via Government Gateway), you authorize us to submit declarations and retrieve information on your behalf using OAuth tokens. You may revoke this authorization at any time through your Settings page or directly through the government service. We never store your Government Gateway sign-in credentials.

6. AI-Powered Features

Fendri uses artificial intelligence for HS code classification, compliance checking, and document analysis. These features are provided as decision-support tools. AI outputs may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before acting on it.

7. Data Protection

We handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of all data you submit to Fendri. You may export, modify, or delete your data at any time.

8. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Government system outages, API changes, or maintenance may temporarily affect functionality. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by third-party systems.

9. Limitation of Liability

Fendri is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to penalties, duties, or fines resulting from incorrect declarations.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate declaration data.
  • Attempt to circumvent customs regulations using our platform.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with our systems.
  • Share your account access with unauthorized parties.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. You may delete your account via Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, we will retain data only as required by regulatory obligations.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
